Carter's Sale April 2010

The sunshine is finally out and it's been bright all the time now. Spring is here. Yay! Brandon got a new pair of sunglasses and has started to wear them. He used to have one that has the band that goes around his head, but I didn't like that one too much because the lens get close to his eyes (almost squishing it). We will be going cross-border shopping again. Last time we bought Brandon a lot of Clothes from Carter's at the outlet. There was a big sale and we got everything at a great deal!

Carter's online store is offering FREE shipping for purchases of $50 or more. Also, if you didn't hear about the additional 20% discount, use promo code CCC20. Valid through April 15, 2010.

Family get-together + visit from Cousins

It was a Friday evening when Patric, Brandon, and I usually have dinner over at my parent's. Our Auntie, Uncle, and cousins (Jason and Joanne) came by to visit. I happened to have my good camera with me and I took some photos. Our little Brandon was the center of attention and he was having so much fun!

Preventing Diaper Leakage at Night

Occasionally, Brandon gets diaper leakage when he wakes up in the morning. I usually change him and give him a dry diaper right before he goes to bed. And once he gets up in the morning, I change him right away. He's about 1-1/2 year old now and using the size 4 Pampers. Well, he's a toddler now and this usually happens when toddlers get older and more quantity in the diaper.

I recommend using a diaper with more absorbancy. I recently bought the new Pampers Dry Max Diapers. I tried using that only for night time and during his sleep. It works just fine. Also try one size up and that should usually work too.

Eating noodles and Getting Messy

I made vermicelli rice noodles for Brandon's lunch. I realized that noodles are the messiest food for him. Cute, but messy!

What a mess!

Brandon enjoys his food and he doesn't mind.

Brandon's First Inline Skates

Daddy came home one day after work and bought inline skates by Fisher-Price for little Brandon. I didn't even know the toy companies make these for toddlers. They're tiny and adorable! The ones we have are by Fisher-Price. So I guess this is Brandon's early start in hockey... hehe! He'll need some assistance and getting used to them.

These inline-style skates help kids learn to skate, keeping pace with growing feet and growing skill. Start with setting #1 so beginners can walk in the skates with one wheel locked. As confidence and ability increase, advance to level #2, where the adjustment wheel rolls forward but not back. Then it’s on to #3 for “freewheeling” fun! Rear wheels are spaced apart for added stability. Padded boot collar ensures comfort, with hook-and-loop straps for easy on and off. Size adjustable, from child’s shoe sizes 6 – 12.

Color Pages for Mom

I was just reading my email newsletters from The Mom Blogs and read about this pretty cool site. Because I'm an artist, it was something kinda fun to do in my spare time and get creative. I still had my colored pencils (and crayons that my little one has been using) and thought I'd use them again. Coloring isn't just for kids.
